Pathways Towards Impact Intern
Chris West (MDiv Duke Divinity School 2023), Associate Minister at FBC Smithfield, led the development, testing, and assessment of the Shine Tutoring Project for the Ormond Center. This project is an outgrowth of Ormond’s Community Craft curriculum; and was developed through our Pathways Towards Impact process.
Before grad school, Chris lived with refugees through Welcome House, completed an Education Policy Fellowship, and managed the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He holds a degree in Religion (Pre-law) from Campbell University, a certificate in Mediation from the University of Reading, and a Graduate Certificate in Faith-Based Nonprofit Leadership from Wake Forest University. He also competed graduate work in education at St John's College in Annapolis, MD. Chris is Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certified and part of the Berean Cohort at Duke's Center for Reconciliation.
