Allie Hargrove

Operations & Placemaking Lab Intern

Allie Hargrove is a second-year Master of Divinity/M.S.W dual degree student. Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Allie graduated from Furman University, where she received a B.A. in Psychology and a minor in Poverty Studies. Post-graduation, Allie worked as an Economic Mobility Partner at United Ministries, where she came alongside individuals with low income to work towards self-identified goals and focus areas. It was this experience that fostered an imagination about the church’s role in community economic development and a passion for flourishing neighborhoods. Currently, Allie serves as the Director of Durham Relations within the Graduate and Professional Student Government and runs the Graduate and Professional Student Chapter of Durham CAN. Allie is invested in connecting communities and is working to heighten student awareness and engagement both with the Ormond Center and within Duke Divinity School.
